Historical background of Barisal Zilla School. Barisal Zilla School. is one of the best schools in Bangladesh and it is the first high school in Barisal Division. The school has a long historical background. The school was founded by Mr. N. W. Garret on December 23, 1829 with only 8 students. The then the name of the school was BARISAL ENGLISH SCHOOL.
